< Planner < Managing Time Off in the Planner
Staff have the option to request Time Off in their Staff Interface. Inevitably, there may be times where the time off they book off will conflict with either previously scheduled overnights or boarding services, or with new bookings that come in. It is therefore useful to be able to view any conflicts in the Planner.
See Time Off for further information.

Navigate to a staff member's Staff Interface
STEP 1
How is a Staff Member's Time Off displayed in the Planner?
In this example we can see Debby’s staff interface screen. When she books time off and clicks “Update”,the requested dates are emailed through to the Admin email awaiting confirmation of her dates. Once confirmed, her Time Off screen records all the dates when she is not available to work and this is reflected throughout the schedule if any services are assigned to her on those dates.
STEP 2
Navigate to Scheduler > Schedule > Planner
-
A red “1” in the Planner indicates that a booking conflicts with a pet sitter's planned period of time off.
-
A red dot in the Planner indicates that a pet sitter is NOT available for work.
-
A blank space indicates that a pet sitter IS available but no services have been assigned that are recorded in the Planner. Note: there could be other services in the Schedule that conflict as well.
